この880Gは駆動系にゴムベルトを使用していないためこの880シリーズの中でもお勧めの機種です。

全体的に奇麗な中古です。

多少の小傷やスレはあります。

再生動作は確認済みですが

録音については、生テープが無い為録音済みテープのリーダー部において

録音待機状態でラインインに音源を繋げてメーターが振れるのを確認しています。

頭出し機能については使い方が良く分からないのとヘッド及びテープの摩耗を防ぐ為使用しておりません。

このKX-880シリーズはケンウッドの人気カセットデッキ群で所有者のブログ等で高評価を得ている機種です。

オークションでも多数の出品が見受けられかなりの販売台数があったものと推測できます。

故障時には比較的部品調達が容易だと思います。

当方の使用感では全体的にクリアな音質で高音域がすがすがしく良く出ていると感じます。

駆動系にゴムベルトが無い為3ヘッドのKX-1100シリーズよりはこちらの方が長く使えるのではないかと思います。

The following maintenance has been performed:

・ Replaced some capacitors in the power supply circuit

・ Adjusted tape speed at 3000Hz Image 6 3001Hz displayed An exceptionally well-controlled circuit with less than 1% error.

・ Adjusted azimuth Image 5

・ Degaussed the heads

・ Polished input/output terminals Image 7

・ Applied grease to cassette door mechanism. Image 4

・ Cleaned capstan and pinch roller. Image 4

Playback function has been verified.

Regarding recording: Since no blank tapes are available, we confirmed that the meter moves when a sound source is connected to the line-in while the deck is in recording standby mode, using a pre-recorded tape in the leader section.

The cueing function is not used, partly due to unfamiliarity with its operation and partly to prevent wear on the heads and tape.

This KX-880 series is part of Kenwood's popular cassette deck lineup, receiving high praise in owner blogs and similar sources.

Numerous listings on auction sites suggest it was sold in considerable numbers.

Parts should be relatively easy to source in case of failure.

In my experience, the overall sound quality is clear, with refreshingly well-defined high frequencies.

Since it lacks a rubber belt in the drive mechanism, I believe this model should last longer than the 3-head KX-1100 series.
